'Web', 2009

This video was created while I attended a residency at Sacy le Petit in France. Cobwebs existed at almost every turn of the building at grounds of Chateau de Sacy, (where i was living). The complexity of the webs reminded me of hair strands, especially when a spider uses one of my own hair strands to create its web. The fragility of this creation is even more potent when it has vanished the next day. Web uses cobwebs - seen through the camera lens where the viewer is taken on a guided tour of the house and grounds where the perspective oscillates between physical movement and the dense surface of the cobweb.
